BreweryX

Real alcohol brewing, the kind you know from tavern RPGs — and it's honest craft, not a single command. First you light a fire under a cauldron, fill it with water and right-click handfuls of ingredients into it following a recipe (wheat for beer, sugar cane for rum, and so on). Right-click the cauldron with a clock to check how long it's been boiling — timing is half the battle. When it's just right, you scoop the base into a glass bottle. Stronger spirits are then distilled in a still (a brewing stand with glowstone dust), and delicate flavours come from ageing in a barrel — the wood type and the number of "years" (one year ≈ 20 minutes) shape the final quality and colour. A finished drink carries quality stars, and when you take a sip it genuinely throws you off: you stagger, your speech slurs, and after one too many a hangover waits for you. On our server we've left all the natural consequences on (stumbling, garbled chat, even vomiting), but nobody gets kicked for being drunk — log off properly sozzled and you just wake up at home in the morning.

How to use

  1. 1Place a cauldron, fill it with water and light a fire (or campfire) beneath it.
  2. 2Right-click your recipe's ingredients into the cauldron; click it with a clock to watch the boiling time.
  3. 3When the time is right, scoop the base into a glass bottle by right-clicking the cauldron.
  4. 4Distill stronger drinks: put the bottles in a brewing stand and add glowstone dust.
  5. 5For finer flavour, age it — build a barrel (blocks + a sign reading "Barrel") and let the drink mature.

Good to know

Timing and precision make the quality — each recipe has its own boil time, number of distills and years of ageing, so your first batch may well be rough. Low quality means a nastier hangover though, so don't overdo the drinking. And beware: log off properly drunk and you'll wake up at home in the morning, not where you left off.
