CraftEngine
The quiet engine a lot of the server's custom content runs on. CraftEngine adds things to the game that aren't in vanilla at all — new blocks, items, furniture and recipes — and does it without a single mod: it sends you the models and textures as a resource pack the moment you join, you just accept it. On our server it powers the whole Farmer's Delight set: new crops and foods, mushrooms, and above all the cutting board, where you slice ingredients with a knife for further cooking. Operators author the content in config, you simply enjoy it — and you can browse every custom item on the server in the tidy viewer opened with /ce.
How to use
- 1When you join, accept the resource pack prompt — only with it do custom blocks, items and furniture look right.
- 2Type /ce to open a browser where you can flip through every custom item on the server.
- 3Not sure how to craft something? /search-recipe shows its recipe and /search-usage shows where an ingredient is used.
- 4Try the Farmer's Delight content — like the cutting board: place it, right-click an ingredient onto it, then hit it with a knife to slice it up.
If you decline the resource pack the server won't kick you — you'll just see custom blocks and items as the purple-and-black “missing texture”. If the pack doesn't load, reconnect and it'll be sent to you again automatically. And for slicing on the board a plain sword works too until you craft a knife (flint knife = flint over a stick).
