FancyHolograms
Floating text that hangs in the air with no block beneath it — that's exactly what holograms add. You'll meet them as a spawn welcome, labels above shops, warp names, rules at the gate, or simply as a decorative sign. Beyond text, a hologram can also show an item or a block slowly spinning. They're built on modern display entities, so they're lightweight, crisp and don't tax the server the way old armor stands did. Text can be colored, bold, shadowed, and via placeholders even "live" — your name or the online player count, say. An operator creates and edits them with a few /hologram commands; you as a player just walk up and read. Here they're visible from about 20 blocks, they save themselves so they survive restarts, and they pair nicely with FancyNpcs characters — the name tag above an NPC is exactly their doing.
How to use
- 1You'll find holograms dotted around the world — a spawn welcome, shop labels, warp names, rules at the gate.
- 2Nothing to press — just get closer and read them; they appear from about 20 blocks away.
- 3Some holograms are "live" and show current data (like the online player count), others slowly spin an item or block.
- 4Want a new sign above your shop or by your house? Tell an operator where and what it should say — they'll make it in a few commands.
A hologram is just a display — you pass right through it and it can't be broken or carried off. If you can't see one you're probably too far (the limit is around 20 blocks); step closer and it pops in.
