GSit

A little comfort that brings the world nicely to life. Right-click with an empty hand to sit on a stair, slab, carpet or even snow — perfect for a fireside, a tavern bench or the lip of a roof. Anywhere else you sit with /sit. But there's a whole set of poses beyond sitting: /lay flops you onto your back, /layback into a half-recline, /bellyflop face-down, and /spin whirls you around. And if you click on one another, you stack up like a tower — brilliant nonsense for group photos. With /crawl you can also squeeze into gaps just one block high. Getting up is dead simple — sneak (shift) or move, nothing fiddly. It's purely cosmetic, breaks nothing, and above all looks great in screenshots and little roleplay scenes. We've set sitting up so it stays out of your way: click-to-sit only works with an empty hand (so you don't plop down while placing blocks), and clicking an NPC doesn't turn it into a chair — it opens the NPC's dialog instead.

How to use

  1. 1With an empty hand, right-click a stair, slab, carpet or snow — you sit right down on it.
  2. 2Sit anywhere else with /sit.
  3. 3Try the poses: /lay (on your back), /layback (half-recline), /bellyflop (face-down) and /spin (whirl around).
  4. 4Click a friend to sit on their shoulders — and go ahead and stack up together.
  5. 5Crawl into one-block-high spaces with /crawl. Get up by sneaking (shift) or moving.

Good to know

So sitting doesn't get in the way of building, click-to-sit only works with an empty hand. And clicking an NPC won't make a chair of it — it opens the NPC's dialog. Sitting on stairs only works on their bottom half.
