ImageFrame
At last you can hang whatever you like on the wall — a town logo, a mini-map of the area, a meme, a party photo, even an animated GIF. ImageFrame takes an image from a web address (URL) and renders it onto in-game maps: either a single one, or across several item frames side by side as a big half-wall poster. It handles PNG, JPEG, WEBP and moving GIFs, and stretches the image to exactly the size you ask for so it isn't oddly squashed. On top of that it does invisible item frames (so only the picture shows), markers right on the map, and periodic refreshing from the source URL so an online image updates itself. On our server, creating image maps is in the operator's hands — you say what you'd like, we make it and either hang it for you or hand you the finished map; you then just drop it into an item frame on the wall. Invisible frames are enabled and can be earned the survival way (see the tip), so the result looks like a painting mounted straight onto the stone.
How to use
- 1Find an image online and copy the direct link to it (it should end in e.g. .png or .gif) — send it to an operator, or use it yourself if you have the rights.
- 2(op) Put item frames on the wall, look at them and mark them with /imageframe select.
- 3(op) Render the image straight into the marked frames: /imageframe create <name> <url> selection.
- 4Have the finished map hung for you, or take it in hand and just place it into an item frame yourself.
- 5An animated GIF plays by itself; an online image can be refreshed from its source any time with /imageframe refresh.
The link must point straight at the image, not at a web page — in your browser right-click the image and choose "Copy image address". And to show only the picture, you can earn an invisible item frame even in survival: drop an item frame on the ground and splash it with a Potion of Invisibility.
