LuckPerms
The server's invisible gatekeeper: LuckPerms holds the keys to every feature and decides who may do what. Almost every ability from the other plugins — setting a home with /sethome, flying, sitting via GSit, taming a pet, using WorldEdit — is really a single permission that you either have or don't. So it isn't set per player one by one, permissions are bundled into groups and a player simply gets a whole group at once. We run three: default is the base everyone gets the moment they join; user is the regular member with the full set of survival comforts (teleports, homes, pets, skills, sitting…); and admin holds the key to everything (the "*" permission). As a player you never touch LuckPerms directly — you just enjoy that whatever you're allowed to do simply works. The data lives in a local database on the server, so your rank survives restarts and crashes.
How to use
- 1As a player you don't use it directly — it runs invisibly in the background.
- 2When you join it puts you in a group, unlocking whatever you're allowed to do.
- 3If a command from another plugin tells you that you lack permission, that's LuckPerms — message an admin.
If something suddenly "won't work" and shows a missing-permission message, it's not a game or plugin bug — you just don't hold that permission. An admin fixes it by adjusting your group, not by reinstalling anything.
