Waypoints
Finally find your way back home, to the mine, or to that well-hidden base. You save your own point (a waypoint) where you're standing, give it a name and an icon — and when you select it in the menu, a compass bar lights up at the top of your screen and keeps showing which way to head. The closer you get, the more it helps: a beacon beam appears once it's in view, and a blinking marker block pips right at the destination. It's not one-click teleport — you actually walk there, so survival stays survival and travel still means something. You open your points with /waypoints (or just /wp), or by sneaking and right-clicking a compass; and the fastest way to make one is simply to place a named banner — a point is created right beneath it. We've kept the navigator tidy here: the floating holograms above points are switched off, but the compass bar, the beam and the blinking block all work. And the best bit — when you die, a point is created for you at the spot and selected right away, so the navigator leads you straight back to your loot with no searching (it's kept for seven days).
How to use
- 1Open the points menu: type /waypoints (or /wp), or sneak and right-click a compass.
- 2Save where you stand as a point — in the menu or with /waypoints set <name>. Even quicker: place a named banner and a point appears right beneath it.
- 3Select the point in the menu → a compass bar appears at the top of your screen showing the direction to it.
- 4Follow the navigator: a beacon beam lights up once in view, and a blinking marker block pips right at the destination.
- 5When you die, a point at the death spot is created and selected automatically — the navigator leads you back to your loot.
Waypoints is a navigator, not fast travel. There is a teleport-to-point, but it's deliberately throttled — usable only for a spot you've actually visited before, and with a long cooldown. You're meant to walk there. And mind the banner points: take your own named banner back down and the point goes with it.
