Files

Nextcloud is your own cloud storage — upload your documents, keep them in sync across devices and share by link. Like Drive, but at home.

a peek at what it looks like inside

It works like a folder that lives on the server and mirrors to your devices. On your computer you get a Nextcloud folder — whatever you drop in is instantly on your phone and on the web too. You share a file or whole folder with a link (optionally with a password and expiry), and older versions can be restored if you overwrite something.

Step by step

  1. Install the Nextcloud app (App Store or Google Play).
  2. Enter the server address (see Server above) and confirm.
  3. Sign in via «Login with Authentik» and grant access.
  4. Optionally enable Auto upload for phone photos and files.
  1. Download Nextcloud Desktop (Windows, macOS or Linux).
  2. Enter the server address and sign in via Authentik in the browser.
  3. Choose which folders sync to your computer.
  1. Open files.irminsul.uk → «Login with Authentik».
  2. Drag files into the window to upload, share with the Share button.
